Yes, I think that's where they were from. They had a song called Whistling in the Dark, about the miners' strike, so they might have been loony lefties like The Style Council and The Redskins, who also had cracking songs about or inspired by the miners' strike.
Easterhouse weren't from Scotland at all, they were from Manchester IIRC. They certainly were loony lefties and did have some cracking songs ("Get Back To Russia"). They were led by two constantly fighting brothers and the guitar-wielding one was hailed as the next Johnny Marr. Which he was not.
