WooHoo! I got my copy of Must You Keep Your Socks On? on Saturday!! But I can't listen to it for another week. Still, I've got half of it on my teeny-weeny md player so I'm ok. (What an ep that would've been - Pocket Book Angel, Lonlieness..., Modern Rock Song and Slow Graffitti - once again, thank you Ben). Quick question though - I always assumed Easterhouse meant the housing estate, but in the wordy bit it's written as Easter House. Does this mean somewhere/thing else, or am I just being pedantic?
But life goes on. Who called WeeJay a homosexual? And who suggested that Lesley J needed a jolly good seeing to? Was it the same person? It bloody well was not. Don't ask me how I know, I just do. Bloody poof ;-)
Where has all the snow gone? It's nearly christmas and I walked to work this morning without a jacket and I had to wear sunglasses. What's going on? All right, I am on the other side of the planet from where I usually am, but by all accounts it ain't snowing much in Glasgow either - sunshine on Cowdenbeath Keith's teeth in Leith according to some. And where has Honey gone? Is this more than a concidence? Is this is punishment for all the sand throwing and shin kicking and all-your-friends-are-fat-and-you-smell mails of late? I reckon He's sitting on an island somewhere, possibly with some of the other missing listees, whilst the snow just pours down on them. Talking of WeeJay, he had this to say for himself:
Yes, I'm backing you up on this one, except I don't think it's two extra 'boy's but instead a strange, admittedly vocal, noise. I heard it on my Beat Patrol tape but I assumed it was (a) a fault in the tape or more likely (b) a problem in the mix that would be sorted out when it was released. Seems it's just another weird quirk I always thought this was a "Ho ho, ho", in a kind of Santa Claus way. I had never thought to question what relevance this had to the song (like someone said, I ain't had no book learnin').
