Hmmm....is it the Contours with "Do You Love Me?" I'm an oldies radio junkie but more often than not the damn DJs will barely acknowledge the song title ("Yes, indeed, we are feelin' groovy on this Tuesday afternoon..." etc.) much less the actual artist. For those one-hit wonders this is sometimes annoying, but I'm pretty sure about this one. However, I always thought the lyric said "I can mashed potato, do the twist" telling the object of his affection all the many dances he can do. Wasn't this song also played ad nauseum during the _Dirty Dancing_ soundtrack's monopoly on FM radio? Or am I imagining things? Heard "She's Like The Wind" by Patrick Swayze the other night, it was good in a sentimental way as much as I tried to resist. Though "Hungry Eyes" is my favorite guilty pleasure off of that particular album. Anyway. Mr. Gardiner, tell me what I've won!
