Someone told me that Stuart Murdoch writes to this list under an assumed name just to hear what people are saying about them. I think this is balderdash. Why on earth would belle and sebastian even care what us saddos are talking about ? Does anyone really believee that stuart comes dashing into practice late, risking a stern look from isabelle awith the excellent excuse of "Sorry guys, I was checking my mail, fucking sinister - I had 498569734956739458734 and I just had to read them all cos they are all so good, one person talked non stop about why they wear odd socks, another agreed. Someone said something banal and ity really caught on and they all think its a cool idea and can't stop posting in. Its almost like whatenglish essays in the leaving cert are like except without the remarks in red pen at the side saying things like "too much narrative." I'm irate because it was obviously some list subscriber who made it up trying to build up the lists credentials in the eyes of the uncaring general public. Going with the thread that it is a lie also points to further cringes on belle and sebastians part. If I gang of people who thought I was great (sic) and had loads of parties in my honour, spread a rumour that I actually went to their parties , I think I'd stamp my foot . Come on, Start trek people hate the fans, Ithink the same applies here. But anyway, It isn't list abuse to complain of a bad day because it seems to be the rules. And its the rules, who am I to break them > I'm irate cbecause I bought a round for five people , one of whom had already bought a round and etiquette nipped ouot the back for a bit because one boy went home, and the others all instatnly acquired a disease whereby their hands were magically unable to reach into their pockets. I wouldn't mind, being only petty in extraordinarily minute cases, but I dropped subtle and obvious hints and commented on it in an annoyed way to the very offenders who feigned deafness and such things. One of the ugly boys was scottish , does this has anythihng to do with the apparent truism that the scottish are a shower of miserable bastards when it comes to money ? I love scottish poele by the way but I do know that that is a well known premise. I hate scabby bastards though. For the more alert of you, the scabby boy was one who I referred to as a n axe murderer in an earlier mail. So the extra sad of you can check the archives to fully understand the structures and motives which govern my every day.
