*perks up ears and delurks* favorite bands? hmmmmm...I've been listening to the Field Mice a lot. I'm starting to understand why everyone speaks so highly of them. It's music to cuddle to. Unfortunately (sigh) I have nobody to cuddle with at this point. I became interested in Momus when he opened for B&S. I've picked up two of his CDs and they make me laugh hysterically. Brilliant stuff. I've also been listening to Yo La Tengo, and I've been going through another Smiths phase. (This happens every few months or so.) Oh, and lots of This Mortal Coil. It's been a rainy November thus far (this is typical in Chicago, I should expect it) and This Mortal Coil is gorgeous rainy-day music. We had our first *real* snow on Saturday night and it was really pretty. I had to drive in it...I listened to the Cocteau Twins "Treasure" and that made it even prettier.
