hi again, let's get straight into it shall we? ... belle & sebastian ----------------- as you may have heard, a half-hour documentary on the band has been put together by duglas from the bmx bandits, which will be broadcast in the u.k. this sunday night on the bbc's digital channel 'uk play' at approximately 8.00pm. i don't know anyone who has actually got digital tv yet, so god knows who is actually going to see it! as far as i know, the bbc air aiming to broadcast it on a terrestrial channel sometime later on in the year, so stay tuned ... the b&s bowlie set was recorded by radio one and will be broadcast almost in it's entirety on monday july 5th, just in time for the 'tigermilk' re-release! it will go out on steve lamacq's show sometime between 8.00pm and midnight, my guess is around 10/11-ish. i've been told that around 40-45 minutes of their set will go out ... sorry to brag, but can i just tell you that it sounds absolutely wonderful ... :) there will also be a b&s special on mtv uk very soon, featuring all 6 of the belle & sebastian videos as well as the gentle waves and looper vids and maybe even the first viewing of the forthcoming v-twin clip for 'thank you'! when it is confirmed, i'll mail the scheduled broadcast date. as far as i know, there will be efforts made for all of these events to be made available to persons outside the u.k., so don't despair! they should end up your way soon ...
