Sinister: Jeremy in Chicago
Sorry! I don't know what the fuck "Jeremy in Chicago" is, but it's not B&S, and it's certainly not the new single. Stuart's away today so I can't ask him whether it's a pre-B&S thing, but I don't actually think it sounds like him singing. It might be, but I don't think it is. Sorry about the confusion with the Matador site. They're a bit premature, and although their information is close, it's not quite right. I should have details of releases and tours next week, but until then please be patient. Doesn't it seem a little too self-conscious to be real?....the vocal is close, but the lyrics are a little bit too indulgent even for Struan. ooh! ooh! my very first sinister post! i'm rather excited i have to admit... anyhow, i just thought that i'd step up to clarify the confusion around this particular song "jeremy in chicago". it is a rather lovely song, but it cannot possibly be a belle and sebastian song. i know this because it is already a song by the wonderful (and stevie jackson approved!) band, the aisler set. however, the song isn't called "jeremy in chicago" but rather "chicago new york" and it appears on their latest album called "last match". and there you have it. ~laura q. ---- Original Message -----

dfkgjdfjgdfg;kdfjg;kfdjg;lkdfjg;lkdfjgog the coincidences are like this much: 'A' if coincidences are measured on the scale of either being a capital a or not. JEREMY IN CHICAGO my name is jeremy, my favourite city is chicago. i think i gave an anecdote about visiting said city right before all this jeremy in chicago nonsense came up! and the real name of the song is chicago new york or something. well i live in new york! i dont know what to make of all this, other than anyone who has known me my whole life would know that the city of chicago is a very definitive part of my existence as is jeremy being that that is my name. i just dont know, can someone help me out here? i feel like a puzzled and helpless silk worm. if thom yourke had a kid and named it "Noua" or something the kid would be "Noua Yourke" somebody told me that once, i dont think its that funny. lazyline painter jane is one of the funestest b and s songs to play on bass, as far as im concerned. too bad i dont live in london otherwise i would have loved to play bass for that guy who needed a b and s bassist. nobody likes b and s here. everything here is phish this and greatful dead that, when it should be worship this and jericho that. and if im not quoting the simpsons but rather stating what bands i wish people were more interested in covering thereby giving me more of a demand as musician i would have to say ween this and belle and sebastian that. ahh, im so desperately lonely. i wish i lived in cambridge. -jer +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
