i think the saddest song ever written was "uncle joe" by the red house painters or "spirit ditch" by sparklehorse.however the saddest and most poignant moment ever comes in the film "midnight cowboy" when rizzo dies and jon voights character puts his arm around the body and the bus drives on to the midnight cowboy theme tune by john barry.even hard bitten old cynical me cries like a baby to that everytime and ive seen the darn thing about thirty times corm ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
