Re: Sinister: stylophones...
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. A stylophone is a small, annoying instrument used by the likes of Rolf Harris. It has a metal plate that is divided into notes like a piano (ie, there are white keys and black keys but they're all the same copper colour - comprendez?). A small pen-shaped conductor with a wire running into the back of the machine is pressed onto the metal plate at the appropriate note and that note comes out of the instrument in a rather nasal tone through a small speaker.
Hmmm weird. Certainly sounds like a Rolf Harris-thing. Thanks. Oh, does anybody know if This Life is coming back on the BBC? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
