I thought I'd return now that the reason I kept quiet is history. I'm really sorry for dragging you all into a private slanging match, but what's said is said. Sorry. I did miss chistmas here though, mine was spent in essex with my grumpy step-mother, her eversoquiet brother and her mother who's in hospital after having a stroke and I was guilt-ed into going to see her with the others though I doubt she was more than barely aware of my presence. Still, I can't complain really - It was a good chance to catch up on some reading. What else has been going on...? Ooh, some radiohead bashing has been a going on. I quite like them but then again, I am a music slut who likes most things when it comes to it. I really don't hate anyone I think. Not that I'm a hate free zone or anthing - The rage I feel against mcdonalds and nestle and the daily torygraph is quite an intense little thing but I suppose it's rational. God, I must sound like such a self-rightious little git but I am in many ways not a good person at all, and maybe an inability to hate, for example, Hitler is a bad thing. The duke was talking about 'what is pop music' and i think, well, it comes in with a collection of words that have been so consistently misunderstood and abused by people who don't understand them that they've lost all currency and meaning... Some other words that you could say that about would be IMHO: feminism indie irony anarchism & communism um... any other suggestions? I just got the new(ish) delgados album. mmmmmmmmmmmm it's really wonderful! I wonder why they don't seem to be a common subject here like Nick Drake or the Fieldmice when they're contemporaries of B&S For those of you who havent heard them, they play this dark tinkly folky music with girl/boy vocals, which does make sense. kinda. And the tunes, oh the tunes... I could listen to it all day. Enough for now. enough for a while. I'll see you all soon. No, that's a lie actually.
