hello...um is this on...I don't know if I'm allowed write yet even though I'm closet old skool listee but i gave up for a while because finals were looming and such things. yeah, so : brrr be be be be A story about how belle and sebastian caused someone and me to kiss !!!! excuse the grammar, it was excitement I tell you. Last summer, I whittled away my days in wee Edinburgh. I was wearing my , then new, study at stow t-shirt out one night and the ridey barman in the Jaffacake commented on it. Because the cheesy hits were blaring out I couldn't really understand and it was partially due to his thick Glaswegian accent but you know yourself, that level of flirtation doesn't really need a thorough grasp of scottash dialects and decent acoustics. I left the bar feeling pleased that I had been singled out like that because of my teeshirt and in gratitude proceeded to spill drink on it and drop ash and generally sweat a little in it. After a dance marathon I had to britney spears, I decided thatI wanted to kiss this barman for complimenting my teeshirt so I went over but he was busily talking to a girl who didn't have a b&S t-shirt on at all but an item of clothing that only passed as clothes on a technicality so scantily clad was she. Bitchbag. But away I knew my t-shirt would get me a boy and , well thats not really relevant... Time went on, we had the odd chat , here and there, I still vaguely fancied but had bigger and more outrageous crushes on other boys to really concern myself with him. Then the Jaffacake closed down. What will my little B&S boy do now, I oft wondered to myself. Quietly, when i was alone. AS chance would have it, he got another job, this time in the cowgate area, where the delightful Cowgate Hostel was, you may know it, the sheets were never changed - I worked there, we weren't allowed change them, it wasn't "cost effective" to. Anyway, I gasped and said, "boy from jaffacake , how are you" he gave me his ridey grin and we spoke, I was beaming as we left and as time went on again, we had more chats , mainly about b&s - it was great. One night in subway, him and his friends joined me and my friends, it was really exciting and he told me that he bought the study at stow t-shirt. Just like me!!! Oh what a Lovely boy, I whimpered to myself, desperately wanting to kiss me full on the mouth there and then. He told me that I should give him some of my badges because he never saw them live and I did. I agreed and we kissed !!!!! Hurray!!! said my friends to each other, now she'll shut up about him and move on to someone else, and god forgive them for thinking such a thing but sure weren't they just going by the old pattern, but what they didn't fully appreciate was that, this was a belle and sebastian instigated kiss; I couldn't forget it. To be honest, as a kiss , it didn't stand up that well by itself, but when you put it in context, wow !! But sadly, for him, context was not an issue because then a couple of nights later, I went into the pub where he worked and said very drunkenly, "....(his name) wha're ya duing afhteeeer woooorrrrk ? Weaaaarr goin' taw Subway (cringe I know) , wanna cooome ?, I did a bit of that staggering thing for effect. He looked crossly at me and said something mean and my heart sank and luckily an old crassy man engaged me in some lewd conversation shortly after because I would have just crumpled otherwise. Well as it happens, his karma was up because a couple of days later , he got severly beaten up. Yeah, it's not a very happy end to the story , is it ? Oh I didn't get pepole around to do that, it just happened, there were alot of random attacks and his friends were stil nice to us so it just shows really doesn't it, that even people who like Belle and sebastan can be cruel m heartless individuals. Sob. So : it's kind of a moral to the story if you would like to take it up like that. Em, that's all thanks.
