hey kids i'm sure this was brought up - but as Whitesnake said, "here i go again" blah blah. anyway, you all know 'bout the Dec '98 Select issue which has an article regarding the press & promotion games involved with B&S, right? anyways, i found the article quite funny, i had never known that B&S use odd- styled pictures for promotion (ie, pics of their friends, pics of band members in disguise, etc) i just LOVE the fact that they generally refuse to do much press. If they were really supercool, they would never have let anyone know their names - they'd just use blatant fake alias names, or something like "vocalist" and "guitarist" and etc. oh well, maybe next time they'll get it right! :-) anyway, for those of you Yanks who don't want to shell out a lot of money for Select, i'd be happy to copy the article. it's quite good. just email me privately and let me know (you know, if you email to the list, then there's no chance in hell that i'll make you a copy, that kind of thing) :-) as everyone in this list loves to complain, there is an overabundance of mail sent to this list having nothing to do with B&S, and i don't want mr kitchen of nondistinction to send me or y'all another lame email regarding these things :-) happy reading! xox mike gaobest@aol.com ps - for thsoe of you who want to know, the Select also has an article of Alanis (she's the cover model) as well as an ace article on current Pete Bests (for Manics, Oasis, Bluetones, Cornershop, et al) and other stuff :-) plus it comes with a bonus CD (as long as yer in the UK, or in lucky good shops in the US, like Virgin <sad to admit, but yes, i do sometimes shop at virgin, although i did buy the CD in new orleans, where i was just record-hunting in general> and good indie shops) and the bonus CD is ace 'cause it has NOTHING from B&S on it so it's worth a listen! yay +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
