I think Riki Tiki Tavi actually mentally scarred me. Two years ago in a poetry class, we were supposed to be recalling a various number of childhood memories and turning them into poetry, blah, blah, blah. Well, every single thing I wrote had something to do with Riki Tiki Tavi. Those crazy snakes haunt me. Even when I went back and read the Rudyard Kipling short story, I was disturbed.
