Sinister: the leader of the pack (vroom vroom)
Remember that song? Little secret for you, when I was 5 or 6 I was OBSESSED with that song. Naturally, I have grown out of it, but the other day it came on the radio en route to work. I chuckled to myself at how silly I was for liking it, but then I began to feel uneasy. In fact, I was thoroughly disturbed. I realized that I knew EVERY SINGLE WORD to the song, including the spoken inner monologue bit. Spooky to say the least. I can only remember my own brothers' names at the best of times, obviously because my memory is chock full of what it deems to be more important information. Anyway, Laura Llew's post jogged something in my otherwise cryptic memory that I thought was interesting. She first talked about books, and then a roadtrip. I happened to be reading a book the other day, and I found it enjoyable. (should you care it's miss wyoming). Anyway, I came across a passage that made me burst out laughing, I mean UNCONTROLLABLY!! I liked it so much i wrote it out and now keep a copy in my purse. I think it goes well with this list, even if the truth may hurt and you'll probably all hate me for it: "The road is over, John-O. It never even *was*. You're thinking like a kid behind a Starbucks counter sneaking peeks at his Kerouac paperback and writing 'THat's *so* true!' in the margins." Tee hEe. What a snarky little jab. The odd part is that there's another line somewhere in the book that bears a remarkable resemblance to a line from The Model. The thing about the fraud. Hmmmm.......Murdoch/Coupland collusion? I wonder...... That's all (try not to hate me, even just strong dislike will do) marybeth _____________________________________________________________ Get email for your site ---> http://www.everyone.net +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
