Sinister: Do My Eyes Deceive Me?
Before I get down to business, a quick word of thanks to Keith Watson. Somehow Keith deduced that I was a little down in the dumps due to my inability to go away on holiday, even for a day, and decided to cheer me up by sending me some remarkable documentary footage of a man shoving his head up a horse's bum. It appears to be some kind of circus, only with people sticking their heads up horse's jacksies instead of the usual stuff. It certainly made my day, as well as putting paid to a few anatomical misconceptions of mine. Anyway, if anyone wants to see a man shove his head up a horse's behind, I'm sure Keith will oblige. It's things like this that bring people together, regardless of distance or language barriers. Hooray for Keith! Trousers, sorry for ever doubting the Monday poem, I think I was just a bit short of rubbish to spout. Certainly not the case today, my cup overfloweth. Thank you Tim for the reggae tips. I'll bear them in mind when I get paid. I think you've spotted what I think I'm after, heavy roots. My vocabulary is a bit restricted, but what I'm really after is something akin to the feeling you get when paddling up the jungle-lined river to the heart of the Belgian Congo in a crude dug-out canoe. I think Horace Andy seemed a bit of a letdown because it sounds much cleaner than the others. I bought two, both Blood and Fire, In the Light and Good Vibes. They are definitely growing on me, they're just a bit different. The dub version of In the Light is really good though. It has helped make it painfully obvious that I need to invest in a super woofer of some description. I also bought 2 Heavyweight - Another Blood and Fire Sampler, which is smashing. I could go on and on, but I won't...... Roddddddddd, good luck with your exams. By the way, does Rodddddddddd stand for Rodddddddddddney or Roddddddddddderick? I think those Tigermilk bootlegs are fakes. Peter ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . This message was brought to you by the Sinister mailing list. .
