Sinister: this one ROCKS!!
Hi All, Spent a bizarre evening yesterday with assorted lovely & lovable members of the Sinister family at The Spitz watching a purveyor of Belgian loungecore & The Clientele, who were fantastic despite (or more probably, because of) the drawbacks of the venue. Which are: The shape of the room means that the fuckwits chattering at the bar are very audible from the stage. Most of the area being taken up with the chairs & tables surrounding the stage, a large part of the audience are pushed to the walls, making the space directly in front of the stage the walkway to transit the room. Its really obvious when someone gets up from a chair to go for a drink or pee or whatever, & it looks like they're walking out. I wouldn't like to perform there, especially if I were reluctant or sensitive :) Mr Ovendon wanted to know how much The Big Issue Foundation gets from each cool Christmas LP: £4 is I think the answer. Still undecided about A Swansong For You. I think I like a few of the songs, but its been deposed from the car player already (bad sign) by the shiny digital Robbo-produced Foxgloves. Today I had to shut the car windows because tree fellers were fainting as I drove by with songs of Stevenage & SE* blaring out. I have however decided about the new improved smutty, raunchy, hard-drinking rock chick Isobel. She's great & anyone who doesn't like her is horrible. Maybe Youn could help us out, too. When Select quotes her as saying "Ooh, that wind's going right up my skirt ... mind you, there are some people who might like that!" to what do you think the second "that" refers? Cut, Hillary, Sew :) David Moore Weblogged Essex +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
