Sinister: How can we make love if we can't make amends?

It's so nice to see everyone kissing and making up. I see that in all of our hearts reverberate those words of wisdom, "How can we be lovers if we can't be friends?" Indeed. C'mere and give us a hug. I'm getting so excited for the shows coming up that I can barely see straight. It looks as though they play a different set every night and have just about every song they've ever done ready to go. Which is great, considering that I'm going to two shows. Now, I've heard that they've been playing the sessions version of "Lazy Line Painter Jane", but what about "Sleep the Clock Around"? Do they play it like it is on the album, or do they do it up more like the sessions version? So, obviously, I'll be the dork at the front at the DC and Athens shows writing the set list onto my arms. In permanent marker. To be tattooed in after the show. Something I've been meaning to share with you all (and I'm sure you've been anxious to hear it) is my personal entry into the "misheard lyrics" book, that someday will sell millions, and dammit, I want a cut. In "Seymour Stein", I always thought that "I heard dinner went well" was "I heard Dylan wail", as though it was Seymour Stein going on about all the famous people he knew Way Back When. And I would also like to place my vote in the non-existant poll that I prefer "North of Scotland has he seen" to "Has he ever seen Dundee". Sure, the Dundee line gets the point across better, but the Scotland line is a little more poetic I think. And I have a doctorate in poetry. And by "have", I mean "don't have". And the "He reminded you of Johnny..." is *obviously* a reference to Johnny Rotten before he went into PIL, which is obvious because Chris remind EVERYBODY of Johnny Rotten. Just kidding...it's really about Johnny Polonsky and his rumored electronic album. The infamous Kenny was known to remark:
I was paying for it at the counter and I saw an album lying there. It was so funny I nearly bought it...........
It was by a bloke called something like Alexi Lalas, he played for Usa in the 94 world cup, he was the one with the dodgy goatie.
I can't believe they're selling that in the UK, too. I can't even believe they're selling it in the U.S. Hell, I can't really believe they're selling it. It's apparently "alt-rock". What a shocker. Not that there was any danger of me buying it in the first place, but that pretty much killed all curiosity. The funny thing (brace yourself) is that that album was released on the same day as Shaquille O'Neal's new one. Two very different kinds of crap from two very different kinds of sports stars. Incidentally, I thought that the next line went 'would he harrow the Mersey' which was baffling but fantastically poetic. I spent many a minute thinking about the New Testament and the similarities between Liverpool and hell, and why B&S had anything to say about it. Surely this is one of the most bizarre mishearings on record? Cheese content: my two ounces worth. I went to Bettys tea rooms in Harrogate on Sunday and had a 'warm olive roll with mozzarella, tomato and pesto'. It was fucking gorgeous. The mozzarella was white and creamy and just the right chewy consistency, to the extent that a big stringy thing happened and I looked a bit uncouth. (Well, uncouth for Bettys which is kindof genteel.) Something else I wanted to say, probably very boring. In my limited experience people alwayseither love Photo Jenny and dislike/like less You Made Me Forget My Dreams, or vice versa. I'm a 'Dreams' girl myself. I noticed one listee go for Photo Jenny. Does anyone care enough to corroborate my theory? (It's not wicked if you dont...) Love everyone, Archel xxxx>
