Sinister: music sounds better on holiday

Oon! THe Pixies sing about you. ...they think they are you. THats scary. They sing 'I am Oon, chien andalucia...', but you arne't an Andalucian dog, oh well never mind, Sarah? (What?) GO HOME. OK....
: ) you mean Pixies in some cartoon tv, yes? for a moment i thought it's the little pixies in the woods, calling my name. hence me promptly concluded that Fluffy must have been socializing with some welsh magicmushroom band. what kind of dog is Andalucian? anyhow i like this sentence, maybe i should put it as my signature from now on. in honour of Fluffy the Pixie. incidentally, my apologies to you and everyone i had the permission to take photo of. i thought i sent them all out ages ago, but my thought was not what really happened. meanwhile, a few of the photo is in the safe hand of Linda so it will definitely be handled much more effectively. my computer just came back last week, to my agony because everything in my old computer is gone. i no longer have anyone address. therefore, friends and relatives, would you be so kind as to email me again. andre, ed, tim (still not back?!), orange purple silver chalotte (that's fun competition : ), and big stu. (oh that crush thing! Thank you for the three votes for me, i'm in tears with grattitute. own up and thou shall be rewarded. sorry, i'm trying very hard to catch up. only 750 mails to go!) now i'm grinning very widely listening to our own sinister boy Christopher A. Leonard (clapping my hand very loudly) he's made a record! Robin Williamson should be proud. well, actually i only heard a few Incredible String Band songs, from Chris himself. never heard old songs much, apart from those golden oldies on 'Soft FM' 'Smooth FM' 'Love FM' radio we have here. how they bore me to infinity. but now, Thanks to mr.symmington who played wonderful songs back at the b&s shows and Tag who made me a wonderful tape, my eyes have been slightly openned to the mother of all swinging things-the 60's. how could i live this long without it, ashamed. it's been winter in Thailand this last week. cool weather is very festive i think. you can't turn a corner without falling into a beer garden. i feel like i'm on holiday already eventhough i still have to go to work. enjoy your winter everyone. love, I am Oon, chien andalucia +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net". Hey! An oportunity to add something clever which is not in the X Files so well kept and watched by Honey (by the way, Honey is a physicist, isn't he?) When Sarah said Pixies were calling Oon and quoted : 'oon chien andalousien', I regard she was talking about the band, didn't you? Pixies usually introduced some Spanish words in the lyrics or references to Spanish or South American myths or habits... 'un perro andaluz'='an Andalousian dog' is the film co directed by the surrealism wizard Luis Bun~uel, and Salvador Dali, in the 20's and still considered one of the peaks of arty (never better said arty in this case) film ever.It is astonishing and devastating. I am afraid if Bun#uel was still alive he would create some masterpiece with 'Dirty Dream number two'.Perhaps something so stylish in its perversion as Belle de Jour. Some rich,French , literate , cool girl who dreams of become a prostitute because she cannot enjoy sex without humiliation...too wild perhaps. Oon sounds like 'un'= undetermined article in Spanish, that's why Sarah thought of your name Thanks for offering me a chance to say something useful and original, Fluffy , being a novice as I am! In which song they tell about 'un chien...? I believe it's Debaser, a classic off Doolittle. Pixies '87(?). Seems like it came out around the time I just went to college. pants+/- +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net". Fans of this movie should check out a Motorpsycho song called Un Chien D`Espace. Un Chien D`Andalou as it is called in french is a silent movie and Motorpsycho played a "soundtrack" to it when it was showed at Cinemateket 2 years ago. If there are any Motorpsycho fans on this list, it would be nice if they could write to me. In My CD Player: Elliot Smith: X/O Nick Drake: Five Leaves Left
