Sinister: playing belle and seb whilst driving
hello everyone I thought I'd put my two penneth in genevieve wrote
I agree with listening to Belle And Sebastian in the car (as long as you're not driving) it verrrry beautiful, with the sloping valleys, rolling green hills..the horses galloping along! And right now, with the leaves changing,'red and yellow and pink(well no) and green'...happy sigh of content
and it reminded me of my holidays. My boyfriend and I packed up the car with booze and tent and yummy food and set of for the highlands and islands of Scotland. It being the day that the boy with the arab strap came out, Andy dashed out to the shops, bought the CD and then made a quick tape copy for the car, being careful not to listen to the album whilst he recorded it so as not to spoil the surprise. You see the big plan was that we would start our holiday with the first listen to the album in the car (sad gits, I know.) What with all the excitement, we completely forgot to pack any other tapes, so our week long sightseeing tour had only one sound track and a beautiful one at that. the moral of this story is ( if you have followed me so far ) you can drive and listen to B and S (even on the single-track-with-passing-places roads of the Isle of Mull) as long as you are careful kiddies and remember if you are only going to take one tape on holiday make sure it's a good one thank you for letting me share that with you hogs and snugs K'la xx +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
