Re: Sinister: i predict a picnic...i predict a picnic
We're going to have a little picnic among Estonian sinistereens ourselves in Tallinn as Glasgow is just a bit too far away. I don't know about the other two girls but i'll be sure to wear red knickers to celebrate the 8th birthday. I'll be wearing other things too but that's sort of irrelevant right now. The funny thing is that all of us went to same art school, all of us studied product design and all of us are/were part of sinister without others knowing... Until it came out in one party, where else, when one of us put Belle and Sebastian record on, can't quite remember who it was but the record was Tigermilk. Now, there might be more sinistereens in Estonia that i know nothing about and if there is and they want to come along for some cake and pop and nice music would you be so kind and indentify yourself to me on my email? We're quite nice really and huggable too.. I also think Starry Stacey's idea of tape, sorry CD tree, is great! i'm up for it Stace! And be nice to Honey, she has been through a LOT lately. Send her nice words and hugs via internet if you can. Could be a photo of your red knickers too... Hej, This is rare, i know, that i write to Sinister, i'm more of a reader... So if you know me it's probebly because you seen me in the fragrant sinister garden, where i still live, even if it's a lot more quiet and peacfull these days and i mostly just hug, listens to music and read bedtimestories with our lovely sleepy princess list mum Honey there. That i'm writing here now is because Honey told me i had to because someone else mentioned me in an email.... I don't know if this really is in the list rules but she has been a very hard working list mum the last week so i should just hug her and do as she says.
PS Just read The Duke's email - Jens is swoonworthy - Katta sent us some of his stuff and we like..
This is not really true, i just mentioned him to everyone darikng to come into #sinister also to Linda and Honey. He is great, specially live, the best gig i ever been to was with Jens so go and see him if you can. It's nice when beeing mentiond on this list it is together with Jens Lekman :)

Ohh to bad Tallinn is just abit too far away.. I am 1/4th Estonian, from my mums dad... but i never been there. But i will come there ine day Ulla and I hope we can have a picnic then. Will celebrate our birthday here instead, i don't have any red knickers... the closest would be a pair of pink underwears i could borrow them from a friend. So I was thinking picnic, in Slottskogen or Skatås... but the weatherreports for tomorrow does not seem very optimistic for picnics, so plan b is to sit in the sinistergarden and eat a bit of cake with auntsadie and her family and blow up some balloons there. If you feel you don't have any picnic to go to tomorrow you are welcome to a sinister birthdayparty there. I'm not much of a birthdaypartymum but if anyone want to go there and increase the risk of meeting someone else there please post a sugestion of a birthdaypartytime to be there at. It's in #sinister at undernet IRC. If you are not used to going there here is one way to get there: Go to: http://www.undernet.org/webchat.php Write in a what you always wanted to be called in the "Nickname" box and #sinister in "Your Favorit Channel" Click Connect You may have to say click ok to run this on your computer Sit down and hope it will work, and don't forget having some nice birthdayfood to eat with you and when you get there the people in the chatroom are on the right hand side of the screen. Just say "Happy Birthday Sinister" :) If you don't see anyone talking in there at first, hang around someone might come in, it *does* happen! Have a good 8 years birthday. Yes, come along. The #sinister chatroom's been quiet for too long, except for the inane witterings of the lovely auntsadie, who you will meet if you come, and who sounds more and more like Professor Ken Chu, who I suspect spent a year teaching her rude words. You won't understand any of this unless you pop in. To celebrate and encourage you to come along (happy birthday Sinister) today, for those of us who can't get to a picnic/booooze explosion, I've even actually updated the Sinister homepage! Don't worry, it's still awful HTML from 1997, so that traditional "aargh it hurts my eyes" effect is still there. But I did update the bit on how to get into the #sinister IRC channel: http://www.missprint.org/sinister/#chat Go on, give it a go. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life. While I have the Sinister wireless set warmed up and its valves ticking, I wish to withdraw my recommendation that AOL users skip over to Hotmail. I've learned that in November, Microsoft are going to implement the Most Evil Scheme Known To Humankind (only really because they patented it to pieces and are bullying everyone) which they call "Sender ID", and they'll start counting everyone who doesn't use it as spam (that's the bullying bit). It's flawed and the spammers (who have mountains of cash by selling Viagra) will get through it like butter, but smaller people may have trouble implementing it, or just not want to be bullied. Even your Yahoo mail and lists may not get to Hotmail, because they have a competing (slightly better) scheme called DomainKeys and they're in a big fight. Mail wars loom. Not sure about Gmail. I'll try and do something about it of course, but your best bet is to sign up to Sinister and any mailing lists you're on with your ISP email address to avoid the looming clouds. Unless your ISP is AOL. Gmail the best bet for AOL users? Dunno. Anyone who wants to view the boxing fight in progress can google for "Sender ID" etc. It's too boring for more words here. Sorry to be so dull. I'd like to add weight to the rising demands of the people of Sinister Town for pix of the 4th sexiest man in Iceland. I went to Reykjavik and my goodness! It's cheekbone heaven (along with waffle heaven if you pop into Cafe Mokka). Boys and girls of outstanding beauty and charm, and, along with Madagascar, one of the most beguilingly musical places in the world. So, even though I've forgotten to update my own photo galleries, pix! I'm having to fan myself a bit here.
