hi de ho neighbours! well, some of you sat next to me in the pub before STAURDAYS gig so you ALL count as neighbours!!! heres my two pennorth. i only went on Saturday, i was very close at the front. i thought Get me away from here i'm dying was lovely. i thought i don't love anyone, was also lovely. i didn't know all the cover versions and new songs, but i paid attention to try and see what they were etc. i *actually* didn't know what to expect from a band like Belle and Sebastian. this is my first *non-ROCK* gig really. for me, i was happy looking at Stuart Murdoch when he was my side of the stage. bad bits! i had to kinda tune out and look at the suroundins whe he'd gone. of course i didn't like that. but to tell you the truth if we wanna be like that thatere a few things that we would all *change* if we could, to make our own perfect little band. well, they're not *ours*. Part of why i like them is tha fact that they are normal LOVELY people making sensitive songs. So, i will put up with these things and not fucking slag them off all the time becaseu they didn't have the perfect set up, the note for note album veersions of their songs etc. and so they fucked up at times. i didn't cry about it. to tell you the truth, i didn't think the sound of the recordings on If You're Feling Sinister is that ace. to tell you the truth i almost fell embarrsed listening to Stuarts voice sometimes when he goes too high and weedy. but i'm only saying this cos i'm pissed off. i still love them *despite* that. it seems that i'm the only one who thinks when you love a band, you don't stop cos one of a dissapointment. there is a REASON why lovethem after all? and surely that doesn't change. i'm SURE i haven't seen the best of belle and sebastin. even you lucky SUNDAYERS probably aint seen the best either. i know i haven't but oh boohoo. am i talkinng any sense here? i think i should stick to my usual posts of talking shit about ziggurats. and to whoever asked about the joy Divsion box set being worth it, i just got it and: YESYESYESYESYESESYESYESHESYESYESYESYSEYSEYSYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYSYESYSY SESYES! and as for Steven Wells reviewing a BELLE AND SEBASTIAN Gig...now what the fuck was the point of that! at least he'll slag them of with flair. i may not agree with half a word he says but i'll still credit him with being a great writer.
