Sinister: Re: Smut, Xfm, dogs
Hello there, 1. Dog on wheels Did anyone see last Friday's London Evening Standard Magazine? There was a picture of an alsation with no back legs, but wheels to replace them. It looked a pretty happy dog, too, buy hey, who wouldn't be if they could freewheel down hills? The most curious thing was that it had a Tax Disc attached. The article said that dogs don't need Road Tax, but Snow ploughs do. So everyone out there with a snow plough be warned. 2. Snow patrol I think I accidentally heard a song by these on Sean Hughes' radio show on Saturday afternoon. Does anyone know of Xfm is any good these days? I stopped listening when it became part of Capital but didn't even try it out, so I can't judge. Hughes seemed to be playing some decent alternative stuff, and Lamacq on R1 does a good job, too. Not the same as 24hrs-a-day alternative, but there's some there. 3. Smut The bit you were waiting for, eh? Rumour has it that a, erm, friend of mine allegedly was doing 'it' to TBWTAS, and reached his peak of excitement during the album's trough - ie Chickfactor (the CD must've been on Random play, because he could never last that long, surely?). This follows on from a similar incident with the Pulp Fiction soundtrack playing, and Captain Kangaroo being the trigger. Romantic or what?
