I know the cheesiness debate has run it's course, but I can't let it lie without adding my halfpennyworth. This man (Chris Douridas) is the utter bane of Los Angeles radio, and his genuine love of B&S does not in anyway impede his outright crappiness. My hatred is born of having to listen to him on office radio every morning. None of his syrupy sincerity gives him the right to go anywhere near a microphone. Unlike John Peel. I don't know what he's like nowadays, and it's been a long time since I actually actively listened - but I was always glad he was there. Like the National Gallery. I may not visit, but I don't want it to go away. He played me the GoBetweens. And Felt. I owe him. You truly don't know how lucky you are in the UK, at least as far as radio goes. And TV for that matter. The only thing you're missing is 103.9 soul oldies. So I know it's too early to expect an answer, but does anyone expect anything to come of the West Coast tour hinted at earlier? Can I take the hint to mean that they like it over here and might actualy return? By the way, Chris' great insight into B&S was "they sound like Donovan." Richard PS One of Moose used to work in Record and Tape Exchange. I wonder if he's back there? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
