hi sinister, since i'm not doing anything productive at the moment, altho i should be, i thought i might use this opportunity to illustrate to u a point which most of u would not care, for those ppl, pls stop reading: my silliness. example 1. one day i walked into my suite, and the detector detected me and the lights came on. i suddenly noticed this fact altho i've been living in this building for over a year. i thought to myself, how magical is modern technology, and how modern is my dorm. i smiled and continued to walk to my room, and as i was standing in front of my door, i pulled out my middcard, our student id which is also used for swipe when entering dining halls. then i stood there for a while looking at it, and asked myself, why did i get my middcard out? i'm supposed to get my key out. then i realised i was still in the amazement for modern technology and actually thought the doors were operated with swiping our cards! example 2. i wanted to go see almost famous in the theater in town tonight, and i called anyone i could think of on campus that i would call a friend, but none of them were available or interested. some of the 'friends' i didn't know their extensions, so i had to looked them up on the online directory. desperate as i was as the starting time was approaching, i typed in 'a friend' in the name search engine, but the result was 'No matches to your query.' i was quite disappointed. so in the end, as much as i didn't want, i went alone. the movie was pretty good tho, i'm glad i went. if anyone has read this far and thinks 'this is so stupid/silly, i shouldn't have wasted my time for this,' well, that proved my point. hope i'm not misusing the list =) liqin +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
