Henry Thomas actually lives (or maybe lived) in San Antonio, where I go to school. He is, in these parts, something of a washed up celebrity. He played in a band called the Blue Heelers for a while, and he hung out with the San Antonio pseudo-art crowd a couple of years back. My only encounter with him was three years ago when he arrived (unannounced) with the Blue Heelers at a Chirstmas party. I remember nothing about him, but my best friend did whisper, "Hey, there's that gnarled kid from E.T." This provoked much laughter on my part.
HEY! Ease up on the Henry bashing will ya!
I"m so pleased to see this turning into the Henry Thomas list. It's the most discussion I've seen of the poor hasbeen since the love-bug bit me in 1994. And no, don't ease up on the bashing--Henry really is a greasy, gnarled, washed-up, San Antonian. (Plus he has no manners, he exhibited poor stalkee etiquette at the show by telling me he had a crush on Isobel). But deep down I think he knows it and he's so damn earnest that I just can't help but love him. Always root for the underdog--that's my motto.
I'm sure Stuart Murdoch inspires exactly the same passions in young girls the world over. It's from Fred and Judy Vermorel's book, "Starlust: The Secret Fantasies of Fans". Has anybody got this book? I've only got an extract, but it's bloody good.
Yes, yes, yes! It's one of my absolute favorite books, but that's probably not suprising coming from a stalker. Unfortunately, my copy's in a storage locker in Portland, OR. If I only had it here I'd be quoting it like mad. I've been seriously considering trying to attempt some sort of 90's version. There's a great fantasy bit about Pete Townsend performing oral sex using his nose. Priceless! Oh, and has anyone seen those horrible ads (probably only here in N.Y.) for "A Christmas Carol" on Broadway starring Roger Daltrey as Scrooge? They're something else alright. --Krista "Some people call it a one-night stand, but we can call it paradise" scaredy-cat stalking and other pointless pursuits http://members.tripod.com/~scaredy_kat/index.html +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
