Hi sinisterinies it's your friendly mostly lurker-occasional-ranter-and-raver speakin' here. Exams are ended!!! The year endearingly referred to as hell is over- hopefully!!! (pray for no supps, pray for no supps!) No more weeks of 2hour sleeps and massive stress-outs- at least not until next year:) Great huh? Have also got two new jobs- one as a waiter in a hotel and one raising money for my medical community. The first job I haven't actually started- just a lot of training and orientation. But am nervous- have never done anything like this before. You gotta do stuff like hold three hot plates, hold two bottles of wine in the ONE hand, hold a tray of drinks all in a particular manner, not to mention wheel 12 chairs and lots of other finicky/tricky stuff. WISH ME LUCK! the other is basically telemarketing (yes the lowest of the low) but with a difference that makes it marginally more bearable. They actually send out the brochure to people (all alumni of the medical school) telling about our appeal and if the peeps didn't want a call, they should have written back and said so. Ostensibly then we are only calling those people who didn't MIND being called. But that hasn't stopped people being very rude to me:( Ah well it's all good money... Am also really interested in "Nalda Said" by the lovely Mr David. My copy of the Face describes it as sweet but unsettling (or words to those effect) which sounds just AMAZING. what do peeps think of it, let me know if it's a great book to get. Also does anyone know when it will be available in Australia??? (official people like David and Katrina please tell if ya know!) Finally all listees living in Sydney, please please PLEASE tape episodes of season one of "BUFFY" (best show on telly!) that are airing now on Channel seven on Monday, 10:30 PM. I really wanna get my hands on those episodes starting from "the Puppet Show" (this coming week). I can make it really worth your while. I have TONS AND HEAPS of rare and live Belle and Sebastian, Tindersticks, Belly, Palace,Tanya Donelly, Black Box Recorder, Dot Allison, One Dove, portishead, Garbage, Sparklehorse, Beth Orton, Radiohead, Pulp, lambchop and TONS MORE!!!
