i saw the dandy warhols open for the charlatans...they were alright i s'pose...that not if you were the last junkie on earth isn't really representative of their sound ...the girl was really cute. but for some reason, she took her shirt off during the last part of the set--and continued her fervored po-going...bizarre!!!
Sadly, I have witnessed this. Not only was I repulsed at their boring, redundant, live set.....but the after show....that woman stripping down and rollerskating all over the place....It's a good thing I didn't eat first. Hey, i'm all about a nice rack on skates..but yiiiish......I guess it's just the whole "wooohooo look at me!" gesture of it all....It's just so much more pleasnt to see a whole heap of wee Scots on stage being humble and making music that floors a person without having to be all on the pose and showy. Is showy a word? Anyway....you get the picture. The lead singer of the Dandy's thinks he's Simon LeBon anyway....Someone should tell them Duran Duran was dropped so they're free to take over. Did anyone see the Dandy's in New York during the CMJ festival? The guys from The Brian Jonestown Massacre were rollerskating around during the show handing out 10"'s they had pressed themselves featuring their song "Not if You Were the Last Dandy on Earth." Pretty amusing stuff. -TonyK Madame Cholet wrote:
