Mister Peter Miller brought you my review of the Hefner + Cuba +

that I attended last monday and which was sent to him in spanish. Here is how the thing went.

I arrived at the club at 21:00, and, with no more than 50-70 people being there, I noticed a boy with this typical student glasses, without realising that I was looking to Darren from Hefner. Has anyone ever seen the TV serie "Parker Lewis never lose" (I think it was called that way) ? I think

it?s not cruel to say that Darren looks like Jerry more than Austin Powers. 15 minutes later their gig began, a short set of beautiful songs. Darren?s voice made me think of Stephen Malkmus?s one, isn?t it ?. We have to keep our trust in a band which has only released some singles (is it true, isn?t it?), but Cuba seemed to me more like a combination of electronic noise with The Lighthouse Family. Their singer threw the microphon stand and it almost hit to one camera from the local Barcelona TV. It was interesting to see Darren from Hefner dancing, and at the end of their gig he and the other two Hefner members appeared on the stage, making a final song with five guitars. Another camera told me that the gig had to be finished at 00:00, and so Jack were only allowed to do seven songs, but it was really a great gig. Yes, they ROCK, except for the end, singing "Nico?s children". If

any real Jack fan in the list, he/she would be interested to know

I don?t know if you remember that I was trying to create a B&S zine in spanish. The first number is almost finished, but I need to check something:

-David/Katrina: I have made a translation to spanish of all of the IYFS songs. Can I have some legal troubles if I put this at the zine ?

-If I can make it, I would like to ask anybody in the list to sent some interpretations of "The boy done..." "Mayfly" and "Judy", because I accidentally deleted some mails about them.

If there is someone who wants to make the effort of improving his/her spanish while reading to the zine, please E-Mail me.
