Sinister: Rumors of early peasants
As I sit here in my office, the carpenters are drilling upstairs renovating the Modern and Contemporary Galleries so there is this hideous shaking, and I feel as if I am inhabiting a fault line. There is nothing better for a migraine than a ceiling of jackhammers. Since my concentration is severely suffering, I apologize if I make this post short. On Friday night, my boyfriend and I were early for an improv show at the Brick Playhouse so we wandered into Repo Records, and I found in their "Rock Vinyl" section, an advance copy of FYHCYWLAP! Needless to say, I nearly shrieked with joy. I was just wondering if the vinyl is any different than the CD? I am always tempted to purchase vinyl--it's such an addiction. On Sunday, I was down in the South Street area and I ended up back in Repo. (I usually go to Spaceboy for new vinyl but it seems that they have a lot less vinyl now). Anyway, when I walked into Repo, they had a sign that said something to the extent of "and rumored to be coming" Belle & Sebastian FYHCYWLAP when I had just purchased that copy days earlier. This was strange and I felt so ridiculously lucky. So did any other Philadelphia listees encounter this same phenomenon?
