Sinister: Parrotesque
I'm a god fearing twat. As Monday Poem nominee for this coming week, guess which jobbie-head has gone and taken Monday off on leave. Marvellous. My Moment of Truth challenge for this weekend is to find someone in Plymouth with e-mail. Now call me a dunce and all, cause basically you'd be right, but if I found an internet cafe or some such sad hideout of the socially retarded, would I be able to send my poem from there ? Anyways, enough of that drivel. Bill Moss (Is that like oral thrush for birds:)) wrote : in seymour stein the lyric sheet says "it reminded me i'd been crying," but i think in the song it's "it were mine and i'd been crying." i like the 'were' one :) I prefer it as "were" as well because that's how we talk round these parts. In fact there's also a lyric in Chickfactor which leads me to believe that Stevie is in fact a wannabe Devonian. I bet he's got stickers of sheep on the back of his guitar. Christian wrote : oh dear. it's tough to be the new kid. so it seems i've already committed some breach against etiquitte by quoting a duran duran song. i'm sorry...i just couldn't help it. i just purchased the best of collection that came out this week and i'm not afraid to admit that i still love it. eeek...i thought the days of fearing for my love duran duran ended after middle school. heehee. Don't apologise, some of us round here are old enough to appreciate the finer points of eighties music and Duran Duran are NOT one of them, but never apologise for holding an opinion. Oh and how can you possibly talk of etiquette round here when the most popular topic of conversation is womens furry front bottoms and their infections. rebelstrange@ldd.net (Lesley J. Miller) Peter, is this your list love child ? Reid wrote : The album cover is a shot of Chris' capture that came after a 4 day chase through the north of Scotland. The look of defeat on his face is really pretty tragic. I personally think it's kind of tasteless that they used that shot for the cover. But that pretty much sums up Belle and Sebastian in a word: "tasteless". You're being fairly liberal with the truth there me boy. I heard Chris's death was as a result of an argument with Isobel outside a public house in Woolfardisworthy over who got to wear Struans pants after she had lured him into her web of deceit and "done him" in the function room with the snooker cue. Have you noticed that Isobel is holding the same instrument of death in her right hand on the inside cover ? Enough of this jolly banter chaps, if anyone does hold the answer to my impending e-mail problems then mail me privately. Ta nicely.
