Indeed Gregory's girl is one of the best films ever made, (although this "it's a sort of B+S film" I'm less convinced with). It's one of the funniest things ever and I believe that it's not altogether very well known in the US.

Gregory's Girl is the mama of all that would be After School Specials! Check out Clare's wing-ed hair! Mind you, it's a movie. Err, and I doubt it would have been an official ASS since the accents wouldn't have passed the producers' muster. Imagine GG with overdubs, kind of like what they did to Trainspotting a few years ago! (not that I'm comparing the two!) Perish the thought.
