A dream of Belle & Sebastian: It was Monday afternoon in Southampton & I suddenly remembered that Belle & Sebastian were playing at that top venue the Joiners Arms that very night. At this point I should have realised it was in fact a dream as the last band I intended to see there were The Cranberries who were thankfully cancelled when Deplorable O`Reardon & CO's PA wouldn't fit through the door. Anyhoo I digress, "Bugger!" I thought B&S are such a top pop combo & the Joiners is very very small they're BOUND to have sold out of tickets. But then as I approached the pub I could hear the familiar strains of "Is It Wicked Not To Care?" wafting over the rusty metal cages of the cattle market like the fluttering of a butterflies wings. I rushed in to an empty hall & to my absolute horror found not our heroes on-stage but those loveable Cider drinkers The Wurzils playing B&S songs!! Apparently the band had to cancel at the last minute due to illness so they had sent along their west country pop chums instead. If that wasn't bad enough I then slipped into another dream where my list crush & myself had spawned an off-cut sorry offspring & apparently it was her first birthday. Well I looked down at the huge pile of presents provided by the child's mother & then down at my well thought out purchases. To my utter confusion I appeared to have bought the lucky child two large cans of corned beef! At that point I decided I'd better wake up. Where's Megan & her dream analysis when you need it??
