what, were there -no- sinistrals at the NYC flaming lips show? (yes, i got in...) i looked everywhere for upside-down badges (mine haven't arrive yet!), but didn't find anyone.. and no one has posted yet... i might as well start off, though. looper was fab! yeah, yeah. stuart d. looks a little old, don't you think? oh, well. karn is a sweetie. i want a kiss, but i can't have one. the headphones were brilliant; you could hear whole instruments that the bass was drowning out (at least from where i was standing). irving plaza was PACKED. i saw one of the looper guys by the bar (the one with the long face who doesn't play guitar and isn't stuart or karn) but didn't have the nerve to talk to him. i just basked in his accent for awhile... my friends hated looper, though. one of them called them "crapper" and kept saying how stupid they were even though he knew i loved them. what a moke, eh? the flaming lips were incredible, though. wow. i really must buy the soft bulliten now... god. i am just in awe of the show. the downside, of course is that i sat at a train station from 2:30 to 5 AM waiting for a ride that never came. yes, until dawn. in the cold. at one point the dunkin donuts opened though, so that was ok. it was terrible. i am off to ireland. if anyone in dublin sees a boy in a looper shirt on thursday or friday, it might be me.
