I don't think Sleep the Clock Around sounds like Stereolab at all. The climactic bit at the end is reminiscent of mid-late period James (Ring the Bells, etc), and the vocal tune is a speeded up version of New Order's classic 1963. It was January, 1963... Sing it at twice the speed, and there you have it. Does anyone have the 7 inch single by Even As We Speak where they do their version of Bizarre Love Triangle? It works at both 33rpm and 45rpm.
