Hello all, I've had a dream. I'm going to be the new Richard Branson, and by that I do not mean a bearded git who flies hot air balloon 9/10th's of the way round the world. No, I am going to start a record company. The above mentioned "Ear Confection Recordings". It shall be a record company for the next century, all songs will be on a web site in real audio for people to listen to and then maybe send off or a demo tape or something like that. Unfortunately, I am conceivably the most idle bastard in the world so I may need others help with this so if anyone's interested please mail me. First off does anyone know a good (free/ cheap) WWW hoster that has a real audio server and provides a good amount of web space? Other help needed will be Logo design (I got thrown out of art at an early age for throwing paper maché around), A&R (I can't trust my taste I have most Jefferson Airplane albums and no 70's Who) and lots of other stuff I haven't thought of yet. You can start a virtual career in the music biz at Ear Confection. Or borrow a 4-track and get your lovely songs heard. Yes, it shall be. Before I go and have a nice lie down after thinking too much I'd like to thank Mark C for his lovely comments the other day i.e. "Martin, you're one of us, mate...". I felt all warm inside. If it was a cunning ploy to make me go to Tigermilking next month it worked and I'll see you there. I'll also probably see anyone at the Tigermilk release thingy tomorrow in my first outing as a record label boss. I'll have a new swagger to my stride.
