Sinister: an awkward post
Hi sinister, I'm feeling rather guilty about sending this post - jammed packed with blatant list abuse, and even more so, seeing as I m a bit of a self confessed lurker. However things are getting quite desperate at this end. Hopefully Ill have manage to think up something thatll pass as content by the end of the letter. Ill try and not bore you with the details, but basically Im doing this Design course in college, and one section of the course is a study on an existing product, I have chosen to look at instruments - in particular the violin. Sounds quite dull, and well I dont want to lie... I admit that I usually leave things till the last minute, its a cliché, but I kind of agree that youll work better under a bit of pressure (well its a good excuse for being lazy, and forgetful before hand). Although its only recently dawned on me exactly how late Ive left it, and how much pressure Ive put myself under, Im starting to have regrets. But Im not posting to sinister to just whine. What I need is just a few comments from any violinists out there (Sarah??), or musicians of any sort, Im not really in the position to be picky. Im only looking for a few opinions, nothing too elaborate. So if there are any violinists/any old musicians out there wanting to complain about an instrument of their choice Id be chuffed to hear from you. Now to the content! Errrrr ? This may have been already mention, but if it hasnt I thought there might be a few of you that would be interested to hear that Mr Nick Drake is set too release a new lp! No, he hasnt done a Richey Edwards, and now decided to resurface. Apparently there are a few demos and bootlegs that have been kicking around for quite sometime, and now his Sister has just given permission for them to be released. At the moment the tracks are being re-mastered by his old producer, and the finish product is looking likely to be called Family Tree, but I have no idea when it will be coming out. There have also been a set of unseen photos discovered, which will no doubt be used, the whole thing sounds like its going to be pretty splendid. Well, I feel the greasy hand of time looming, Cheerio and thanks, Andy You think your God... Well, I've got to model myself after someone! ______________________________________________________________ For up-to-the-minute music news, reviews and specials visit http://www.nme.com Get free e-mail (anyname@nme.com) now at http://www.nmemail.com The sender of this e-mail is NOT an employee or associate of NME, nme.com or any other IPC magazine. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
