Sinister: Sinister...Different Mix
Sam said:
I realized that thiswas not a song I had (I have all but Tigermilk), so I asked >the clerk what B&S song was playing and he replies 'Judy...'. I listened more intently and realised it was a fairly different version than the one on the album.
I think that the Enclave's sinister was mixed differently. On a professional production standpoint, one could arguably say it was better. A lot of the background instruments come out very rich and you wouldn't think they were an indie band. One can only imagine first hearing the Enclave's sinister and then comparing that to the 8-trackness of Dog On Wheels (which were all demos I think). ha ha. wnat to hear a really sad story? i got a trade of the enclave cd for the jeepster vinyl abd put it on my shelf, still in it's wrapping :-) i just wanted it to look pristine, i dunno why. actually i do know why: i'm a sad git who sputs bollocks... so now i have to go unwrap it and listen for this different mixing thing. i bet i don't hear any difference, or if i say i do katrina will write and say it was exactly the same. ho hum. keep the faith, dudes. duke -- Tangents On-Line http://www.virtual-pc.com/tangent/ PO Box 102, Exeter, EX2 4YL, UK tangent@eurobell.co.uk ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
