Sinister: Just a Modern Rock Story
Hi everyone, With Honey's blessing, here goes my second try: I've belonged to the list for a few months now but this is my first post. I've been a fan of B&S for a while, but have only recently (within the last year or so) gone all out and got my hands on everything of theirs I could. In response to Honey's requests for anyone to post on the book: I work in publishing, specifically at the American publisher of this book so I was able to read it a while back when it was still in the galley stage. I even managed to spot a couple of factual errors that I was able to have corrected before the final print was done. Overall I enjoyed it, although I thought the author might have been a bit too reverential. I don't know how accurate it actually is since I'm not really familiar with the band's development and growing pains. But I thought it a good introduction for someone like me who's been a fan for a while but doesn't really know a lot about the band itself. I'd be really curious to find out other members' opinions on it, since it seems as if most of you are really knowledgeable about B&S. Ana from NYC, via Newark and Lisbon P.S. If anyone would like a copy of the book, I might be able to dig one up and send it along. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
