much as i would hate to revive the 'best kid's tv of our youth' thread, i feel i must announce that yesterday i received 'the complete bagpuss' on video. this made me disproportionately happy, i suppose, but it is just *very* good. especially when the mice threaten to strike if they're not allowed to sing, although the calypso turtles are also a high point. i've made my decision to buy tigermilk episode 2: a new hope, having listened to it a bit courtesy of the bagpuss provider yesterday. it is better than mine, and i fully comprehend now that crime doesn't pay. i think i am also going to buy the gentle waves album, as i get job seekers allowance now and i feel that this is just the kind of thing it is designed for. i'm feeling disgruntled today, the bagpuss euphoria having worn off a bit. my inner bitch (hi lj)* is lurking at the forefront of my brain, grumpily shuffling her feet and threatening all sorts of things, but refusing to just get out here, cause trouble and get it over with. i have managed to pour cold water all over my boyfriend's enthusiasm for going to cornwall tomorrow though: 'you do know that you'll get stuck in traffic and you'll be watching the sodding eclipse from a layby on the M4, and it's going to be cloudy anyway? have fun.' maybe i should go up a hill on wednesday with all the other hippies and meditate in the slightly-darker-than-usual-and-therefore-mystical conditions, to restore mental equilibrium. or maybe i'll just SCREAM at someone. * this is not intended to imply that lesley jo IS my inner bitch, i was merely acknowledging her authorship of the phrase. but i wish she was :) better be off then, archel xxx ps: forget confusion over 'la pastie' - i thought that the blair witch project was a reference to kate hoey, clare short, mo mowlam etc. oh dear, that wasn't very funny even to UK listees, was it? +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
