Sinister: Monica Queen returns
Dear all, Hopefully of some interest to you in the Belle & Sebastian fraternity is the news that everyone's favourite B&S-affiliated dimunitve country rock chanteuse, Monica Queen, has recorded some new material. '77' received its first airing last Sunday on the Radio Scotland show, Beat Patrol, and is exclusively available along with another new song, 'Tear Behind My Smile' on MP3 from http://www.wellcut.com Both songs see her in mellow, reflective mood but those who enjoyed her more powerful-tonsilled outings should just watch this space. There's a whole 'pop' album to come and some distinctly rocking unreleased Thrum material might also be getting a release on Well Cut Recordings. Other artists on the site include Chris T-T, White Town and Leonard (much admired by John Peel, Bob Geldof and, erm, Johnathan King). All have tracks avaialable to download for the princely sum of 99 new pence (even cheaper in the US, as you don't have to pay the VAT). Any artists or labels interested in selling downloads should get in touch with us at a&r@wellcut.com Sorry if this post seems a tad too much like advertising. Our defence is that the subject line is 'Monica Queen returns'. Hooray, hooray. love ya' Martin, a&r@wellcut.com +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@missprint.org".
