Slow Graffiti is my favourite B&S song by a country mile, the EP's poetical highpoint is the appearance of the lassies in the lavvies, and The Gate, despite not being a pop companion to FunkySeb's legendary pub polaroids, is quite a feisty little number, despite what we may have read elsewhere. I don't think I'd be speaking out of turn if I called it a Nutbush City Limits for the 21st Century. One thing that worries me ever so slightly is the cover. Mister Horne is sitting on a COMMUNIST PARTY FLAG! Does this mean that Stuart Murdoch will be participating in Stalinist pop pograms? I think it does. What's more, the first song lasts about seven minutes, and Fidel Castro's speeches tend to last about seven hours! Mere coincidence? Almost certainly.
