I forgot to mention about Carsmile's observation of some story in the Grauniad about some fat woman winning a competition to do things with elephants in Thailand? Did anyone see the thing in today's Mirror (for the sport - honest) about some lass getting gored to death by an elephant that went on the rampage at some Thai conservation park? No connection I hope? This was on the page after the story about some bloke from London who went on hols to the Philippines or something and developped rabies after being bitten by a dog. I think it might have had more to do with the fact that they caught and *ate* the dog for it's crimes! The mirror just casually mentioned this as though it was de rigeur.
