does anyone know anything about the band spiritualized? they are playing

where i live and i want to know if they're worth seeing. who or what do

sound like?

near they they sound like...well a mixture of the beach boys, the velvet underground, the stooges and erm, a little bit of everything...i'll never be rock critic... the first album "lazer guided melodies" is a classic...well i think so...actually i remember when it was about to be released, i was quite amused by the adverts in the NME because i'd misread the title, it being in a sort of squiggle, and thought the album was called "Lager guided melodies"...anyway, i'd recommended Spacemen 3 as well...especially "playing with fire"...as for spiritualized, "ladies and gentlemen..." is fabulous...go get! Erm, while we're on the subject...the other night i saw Mogwai play live...one of the only few gigs i've seen were they sounded miles better than on record...it was FANTASTIC!!!!(even though i hate the word "gig") Go see for yourselves!!! love, alan ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
