I have been experiencing a very strange phenomena. It's homesickness but, well, I'm in London and I'm at home. I've always lived in this part of East London, bordering on Essex, bar Uni at Canterbury and seven months in Dundee. But ever since Monday night and meeting all the lovely people I met (mostly Scottish) I have been pining for Scotland;

I too have recently experienced this strange phenomena. *sigh* Two mates from Scotland (Aberdeen and Glasgow) came over (to LA) for a visit, and have left me very homesick for my non-home. Of course, I made the both of them listen to Belle & Sebastian the whole time...but I don't think they minded too much....I too miss Dundee...especially the view from the b-seat of a train...going over the bridges...ow...it hurts. Ow ow ow. LA seems so much uglier with my little Scots gone..No more cups of tea waiting for me when I get home. Arse biscuits. My best mate (the one from Aberdeen) has been here for 2 weeks and i'd not anticipated how sad i'd be when she went back. I tend to cork up everything so that it all comes out in one ugly mess...this usually occurs unexpectedly, in the car..listening to Belle & Sebastian. It was on the way home from work, when I realized that she'd be gone when I got home, on her way back to dreary Aberdeen...and i'd still be here..in sunny, putrid LA. and it happend...about 10 seconds into "Is It Wicked Not To Care"....the floodgates opened on the 101 heading South. Why does this happen whilst listening to B&S? I think there's something in the music that allows us to feel sorry for ourselves..or MAKES us......something I don't do often....or if I do, it's all corked up and stuffed away for... the next time i'm listening to Belle & Sebastian.
