Sinister: A message from a friend...
I'm not sure I should be doing this but I have a friend who would like to share a belle and sebastain experience with you all... she looked at me so pityingly and with such big eyes i gave in to her plaintive pleas... So here it is... I hope nobody minds: Things have been a little crazy the last couple of days and I'm not entirely sure what to make of it... In my little life I don't think I have ever encountered quite as much excitment in such a short space of time...except maybe the time that I ran in the sea and with my head held high in the air and I realised that my feet were no longer touching the ground... but no I think that this was better than all of that... I knew something was happening when I saw the girl packing the bag... she put in my ball so I pulled it out and ran around the room... she took it off me and told me to be patient... she looked a little worried. The boy got my lead and we all went to wait by the front door... so then I knew we were going on a longer adventure than the normal treks into the park... And before I knew it I was on another train... i will tell you a funny thing about trains. They are really quite good fun! At first I couldn't understand them and they scared me but I have long since changed my mind. As soon as you get on one you just know that something interesting is about to happen. You can hear the low rumble in the distance and fairly soon you will see the long snake like shape rolling towards you. I looked up at the girl and she smiled down. I could tell she understood about trains too. We finally got out at a place I recognised, I had been there the previous weekend but only for a little while, it hadn't been the best walk I had ever had. Too many people ignoring me, not enough fields to walk in, but it had been a walk to another train so I wondered if this was what was happening today. Well I can tell you now that it wasn't, but don't worry it was better than another train. We walked to a place where a group of people were stood around. I wasn't sure what was going on because the girl and the boy were very quiet so I couldn't ask them just then what was happening. And then somebody came up to speak to us. Strangely enough he knew my name but not the girl's he called her "sunnyset". Between you and me that is not really her name. I wasn't sure if she got confused becuase from then on she sometimes introduced her self by her real name and sometimes by this sunnyset name. I asked her about it later and she laughed and said "it is just like when I call you 'smell' even though I know that isn't your proper name." I wasn't sure I understood. Well this group of people seemed very nice indeed and they seemed to know what they were doing too.It is just as well really because I wasn't entirely sure that the boy and the girl did. So we followed them into a park and found another group of people. You will never guess what though? They were all surrounded by pidgeons! You must know how much I love pidgeons? They are so amazing you can see them walking along the ground, so you walk slowly and carefuly towards them but before you know it they are in the air. It seems like a pretty clever thing to do to me and if I ever get close enough I will ask them exactly how its done. Once the pidgeons were out of reach I started to look around at all of the people. I was so excited becuase people started to come up to talk to me. I just had to give them all a kiss they were so lovely. I didn't know why the girl didn't do the same she seemed pretty quiet still. She told me that it's not always as easy as all that and just because she didn't kiss everyone it didn't mean she didn't think they were all lovely. I told her maybe she should try next time becuase kissing everyone was so much fun. She laughed and said maybe if I had my confidence that is exactly what I would do. I don't know what she means by that becuase she is so confident really. She doesn't run away when the hair dryer or the hoover attacks her and she once saw a bicylce on the pavement and walked straight past it without even flinching. One girl gave me chocolate buttons. I don't know if you have ever had them before but if not they are lovely and you should. They are so much nicer than my meat and they are even nicer than carrots! I told the guineapigs that when I got home. They are always boasting because they get carrots everday and I only get them if they fall on the floor by accident. These people all seemed to know the band that I am named after so that made me feel very special. To be honest until then I wasn't sure if it was something that the girl made up just to make me feel happy but now that I know they are real and everybody else said how brilliant they are I feel very important. I think that is why I had my picture taken to be honest. I'm a little bit famous or something. I couldn't dissapoint my public and of course posed nicely for the camera. I'm not about to turn into one of these stuck up superstars! Eventually, after we had all been there for a little while, we went for a little walk to a pub! I felt so very grown-up being allowed in but my feeling of pride didn't last too long as I fell asleep quite quickly and before I knew it it was time to go. I asked the girl whether we would see any of these people again and she said she hoped so. I hope so too becuase they were all so nice. Anyway me and the girl have struck up a deal: I am going to teach her the running up to people and kissing them trick and she is going to teach me the how to stand up to hoovers trick! Love and extra kisses Belle xx _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister@missprint.org.
