Sinister: The revolution of the Barcelona gig
A message to everyone who asked me a tape of the Barcelona gig: IŽve got the tape, and the sound is lovely, but there is a problem: the final track "Loneliness..."is cut at itŽs half. I didnŽt know that the spanish radio station was going to broadcast this gig, so, some months ago, I sent them a blank tape, telling them to tape the gig for me. I donŽt know if they did, but I think itŽs better to wait for a few days, until I know something. I suppose that youŽd like the gig with "Loneliness" complete, as it sounds really great. If they didnŽt tape me the gig, then iŽm going to ask some readers of my zine to check if they have the gig recorded in a better way than me. As soon as IŽll know anything, iŽll let you know. If you want to e-mail me privately, use my other adress, jordi@belleandsebastian.org I suppose that all of us, the members of the old continent, have watched the Eurovision contest. IŽve tried to vote for Bosnia, but I couldnŽt. Are there any sinister people organising a voting for our own winners ? IŽm off to see the official voting. Bye !! ================================================== Jordiet Sinistre ================================================== Tu E-Mail Gratis en http://www.mixmail.com +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister@majordomo.net". Indeed, like many others I watched quite a bit of Eurovision this year (well, it's an excuse not to spend the evening revising for tomorrow's exam). I must say I was very disappointed by the low number of absolutely dismal records this year, some countries seem to be actually taking it seriously. For the non-Europeans amongst us, it was won by Sweden with a blatant Abba rip-off song. And Spain came last, probably because of the awful dress their singer was wearing (sort of like a rainbow, with a red heart poking out from the top; if they'd cut it up later they could have made Skittles). This year I had the added bonus of being able to watch it with subtitles, and find out what the lyrics were; our favourite was the Turkish entry with "I, with a torch in my ear, like a lullaby". Answers on a pstcard please... Lots of Sinisterines will be down in London this afternoon enjoying a picnic, and I'm slogging away revising, I'm jealous...
