Sinister: art shmart
Hey beautiful people! In view of some of the recent discussions about art, I thought you might like to hear about my girlfriend's (who is a fine art photography student) exhibition which I went to on Monday night. Admittedly her work was quite good (a series of photographs of horizontal landscapes taken at slightly different angles and arranged into a complet arc - impressive when up on the wall) but the other two "artists" who were having the exhibition with her produced between them some of biggest piles of shite masquerading as art I have ever seen. One of them found old Pictionary drawings and exhibited them along with a pretentious statement about progression of identity and ideology (they weren't even her Pictionary drawings for Christ's sake!). The other one drew some pictures of fish, and calculated how many fish could live in a certain Loch. Pish. Maybe I'm just a cynic, or uncultured, or both. Who knows. Who cares. Who killed Laura Palmer. Anyway, I'll be off now. Exams beckon. Pish.
