Hey all- Oops...the line in "Century of Fakers" is "'Cause you're making BLINKERS fashionable" not "blinders" as I had said before...someone pointed this out to me in e-mail (thanks)...and now the line makes even less sense to me! In either case, aren't they the things they put over the eyes of frisky racehorses to ensure they run forwards and aren't distracted by other horses/events around them? Consequently, an english saying exists, ie. "A blinkered view", meaning someone who has very set and unshakeable views on something. No ! It's simple really. It's just a very pretty way of saying that the person in question is looking at the ground and not around , not daring to look around and cos there are so many people who are actually quite lonely, that this metaphorical blinkering is actually fashionable, popular, ie, rendered widespread by the populace. +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister@majordomo.net".
