Forwarded message from Mistopher Christopher regarding the Saturday Glasgow picnic. In answer to Jygsaw, who posed the frightening question "What do you do at a picnic", the answer is, err, whatever. Last time, we sat around and ate, and then had a wee walk round the hothouses when it started to rain, and then went to the pub. And it was nice. It took about half an hour to actually talk to each other of course, except John Johnstone, who had cunningly had a get-out clause (train to catch) which allowed him to talk to everyone in a charming manner, knowing that he could leave if we all were weird. Which we are not. Not even Stuart Lee, who everyone politely ignored until Chris stole his hat in the pub. And it was nice. What I've done there is give directions to the fountain, goodness knows how I managed to get that idea into my head. Now, it should be the bandstand in Kelvingrove park, not the fountain. Here is a new number 8: 8. Now, if you follow the main path that you are on all the way round you will eventually see the fountain, which is pretty big. But you don't want to go that far - you want to cross the river at the most convient bridge in the park and walk down the right hand side of the park until you see the bandstand. It's pretty big. Just ask someone scary where it is. S o r r y I feel really stupid. I don't think I'll go now, you all hate me because I wear glasses. I might just have my own picinic at the fountain. I think I'll go and eat worms.
