Frankly I think I'd prefer it if Isobel collaborated with Mar(c)ks Radcliffe and Riley rather than this "Lanegan" chancer. Imagine!! "Ith it wicked not to care - COD FISH BATTERED BALLS - when you er... la la something twee - I'M GREAT ME GET TO BED" etc etc. Hope everyone is well and having their 5x portions of fruit and veg per day. I am DELIGHTED to find Innocent Smoothies count as two portions, and am smugly patting myself on my back for being so blimming bourgoise (and bendy) that I fork out £1.89 for a smoothie instead of 30p on two bananas. I've made it now, who ever said I needed a fancy education. My parents would be so proud if they hadn't lost their eyes and ears down t'pit. Oh, does anyone have a Reel to Reel machine by the way? I am liking Isobel's collaboration with Mark Lanegan..I think they are on Mark Radcliffe next week.

I think Mark R would rather Isobel collaborated with him..he was slightly over-excited at the thought she had produced and written the songs. Or maybe that was just in contrast to the Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazelwood set up which has undoubtedly inspired the work. I am getting tired of working out who "inspired" many of the musical offerings today. It's like listening to the radio when you are half asleep/very drunk - half-remembered confused echoes of the youth you had or your best friend's older brother had. Give up, accept, hum along.. The B&S session on Radcliffe was very enjoyable - the chaps in fine form, happy banter, and I urge you to listen to it.

I can't help, but have a 35mm film of elephants I bought in a Shelter shop. It has a great box but is otherwise useless. I may get more.
